1). Qualified Member of the Deck Department (QMDD)
Location: Offshore, Nigeria
Reports to: Bosun (if carried) or Chief Officer
Job Summary
- The QMDD co-ordinates with other QMDD’s, crane operators or any other person necessary for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel. The QMDD has the authority to stop ANY activity on the grounds of immediate safety, health and environmental hazards.
Responsibilities
- General vessel maintenance, including safe handling of tools and equipment for surface preparation and the application of paints and solvents.
- Maintenance of emergency equipment and assisting in the maintenance of lifesaving and fire-fighting equipment as directed by the Chief Officer.
- Assisting in the launch, recovery and routine daily maintenance of rescue craft. Undertaking duties of Helideck Attendant as directed
- Assisting the Construction Department if requested to do so by the Chief Officer.
- Assisting in all matters related to marine operations, including Watch keeping duties as required.
- Performing emergency duties in accordance with the vessel’s Muster List/Station Bill
- Ensuring that his daily activities and the activities of other crew members are carried out in a safe and healthy manner and that the impact of such activities on the environment is within acceptable limits.
Requirements
- The QMDD shall be qualified in accordance with STCW11/5.
- Minimum of 1 year experience on a DP operated vessel.
- Able to speak and understand English.
- QMDD shall be qualified in accordance with the WOUS requirements for AB.

2). Officer of the Watch (Deck) – DPO
Location: Offshore, Nigeria
Reports to:Chief Officer, or in the absence of the Chief Officer, to the Master
Job Summary
- The Facilities Coordinator has the authority to stop ANY activity on the grounds of immediate safety, environmental hazards.
- The Facilities Coordinator co-ordinates with any persons necessary for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
Responsibilities
- The keeping of a safe port / cargo watch as Watch Officer as directed by the Master/Chief Officer.
- Ensuring that all cargo is secured, and cargo transfers are organized correctly, if required by the Master/ Chief Officer.
- Ensuring that no major action will be undertaken or executed without informing the Master or Chief Officer or, where applicable, the Superintendent and Chief Engineer.
- Ensuring that all navigational equipment is functioning correctly and reporting equipment defects.
- Ensuring that all GMDSS communication equipment is functioning correctly and reporting any defects.
- Performing daily, weekly and monthly checks and maintaining the GMDSS log book.
- Performing emergency duties in accordance with the vessel’s Muster List/Station Bill
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience as Facilities Coordinator onboard a vessel with a large crew compliments passengers.
- Able to speak and understand English. QMDD shall be qualified in accordance with the WOUS requirements for AB.
- The QMDD has the authority to stop ANY activity on the grounds of immediate safety, health and environmental hazards.
- The QMDD co-ordinates with other QMDD’s, crane operators or any other person necessary for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.

3). Facilities Coordinator
Location: Offshore, Nigeria
Reports to: Master
Job Summary
- The Facilities Coordinator is responsible to the Master for the safe and efficient operation of the catering department.
- The Facilities Coordinator co-ordinates with any persons necessary for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
Responsibilities
- Overall management of the vessel’s catering department Ensuring that personnel, food preparation and storage meet hygiene requirements.
- Co-ordination of training for catering personnel with respect to food handling, hygiene and EHS matters.
- Maintaining and ordering of adequate provision stocks and co-ordination of storage of food, cleaning materials.
Requirements
- Facilities Coordinator must be qualified in accordance with the WOUS requirements for the Catering Manager.
- Minimum of 1 year experience as Facilities Coordinator onboard a vessel with a large crew compliment passengers.
- Able to speak and understand English.
- The Facilities Coordinator has the authority to stop ANY activity on the grounds of immediate safety, health and environmental hazards.
