Purpose Statement:

Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance and Licensing: Ensure company-wide compliance with relevant financial and industry regulations, managing the acquisition and renewal of licenses, permits, and certifications.
- Policy Development and Enforcement: Develop, update, and enforce compliance policies and procedures, aligning them with local laws and industry standards.
- Audit, Reporting, and Risk Management: Conduct regular audits, assess compliance risks, and rectify issues. Prepare and submit timely reports to regulatory authorities while mitigating identified risks effectively.
- Education and Training: Provide compliance training to educate employees and stakeholders, fostering an ethical and compliant organizational culture.
- Contract Review and Legal Support: Review contracts and legal documents for compliance, and offer legal guidance to ensure alignment with relevant laws and industry best practices.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain positive relationships with regulatory bodies, industry associations, and internal departments to facilitate compliance.
- Internal Investigations and Documentation: Lead or support internal compliance investigations, maintain meticulous records, and facilitate audits and reporting.
- Legal Research and Adaptation: Stay informed about changes in financial regulations and industry-specific laws, providing guidance to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Ethical Culture Promotion: Foster a culture of ethical behavior, integrity, and compliance throughout the organization.
- Crisis Management and Confidentiality: Collaborate on crisis management plans related to regulatory challenges and handle sensitive legal and compliance matters with discretion.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Business, or a related field; JD or LL.M. preferred.
- Work Experience: 4 – 5 years
- Proven experience in legal and compliance roles, ideally in regulated industries.
- In-depth knowledge of local and industry-specific regulations.
- Experience in policy development and implementation.
- Strong audit and risk management skills.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting and guidance.
- Proficiency in contract review and legal research.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies.
- Investigative skills for handling compliance matters.
- Strong organizational abilities for documentation management.
