Job Title: Logistics Officer

Locations: Abuja (FCT) and Benue

Employment Type: Contract

Job Summary

  • The Logistics Officer will be responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound product movements, supporting sub-distributors, responding to logistical inquiries, processing delivery orders, and ensuring timely, efficient distribution of products.
  • The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to logistics coordination and a strong understanding of B2B lubricant distribution networks.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily logistics-related inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions at the office.
  • Coordinate with sub-distributors and customers to arrange transportation and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movement, delivery documentation, and customer orders using Excel.
  • Prepare and track delivery notes, dispatch instructions, and shipment confirmations.
  • Collaborate closely with the warehouse and transport teams to ensure prompt and accurate product deliveries.
  • Foster and maintain strong working relationships with sub-distributors and clients to support smooth operations.
  • Provide guidance to clients regarding delivery timelines, product handling, and logistics processes.
  • Support the sales team by ensuring timely product availability and logistics planning aligned with sales targets.
  • Compile and submit regular reports on delivery performance, logistics challenges, and customer feedback.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1 – 3 years of experience in logistics coordination or supply chain operations, preferably in the lubricant or FMCG sector.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under time constraints and work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with distribution and logistics practices in automotive or industrial lubricants is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency with logistics or inventory management software is a plus.
