Title: Management Accountant

Location: Lagos (Remote)

Summary:

  • In the role of a Management Accountant, your primary responsibilities involve the accurate and timely preparation of group management accounts for all entities and the consolidation of group accounts. This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and qualified Management Accountant who possesses proactive, multitasking abilities and can prioritize work to meet the demands of a dynamic and expanding business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compile detailed monthly schedules, including income and expenditure tracking and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Analyze overhead costs to provide explanations for variances compared to budgets.
  • Maintain monthly intercompany reconciliations, including foreign exchange adjustments, for all group entities operating in different currencies.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies, guidelines, and protocols to ensure the company’s compliance with regulations and sound financial practices.
  • Assist in preparing year-end audit files and collaborate with external auditors.
  • Provide support for ad-hoc duties as needed to assist Finance Operations.

Requirements:

What Makes You a Strong Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Chartered Accountant qualification with at least three years of relevant experience.
  • Strong attention to detail, coupled with excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Enthusiastic and ambitious, with a drive to make a positive impact on a business experiencing an exciting phase of change and growth.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple tasks, delivering work projects within specified deadlines.
  • A dependable team player who is flexible and willing to provide support in various areas when necessary.
