Job Title: MBA Careers Services Administrator

Location: Ajah, Lagos

Job Description

  • We are seeking a highly organised and student-focused MBA Careers Services Administrator to join our Careers and Placement unit.
  • This role is integral to executing a robust and dynamic careers programme for MBA students, supporting their career development, employer engagement, and placement success.

Duties 

  • The MBA Careers Services Administrator will serve as critical support in the Careers and Placement unit.

Key Responsibilities 
Event Planning & Coordination:

  • Assisting in the planning and execution of all career-related events, including career fairs, networking events, recruitment drives, webinars, workshops, conferences, contests, and competitions.
  • This involves coordinating logistics such as venue booking, catering, AV requirements, speaker outreach, and student registration, as well as tracking event feedback, attendance, and outcomes to measure effectiveness and suggest improvements.

Alumni & Industry Engagement:

  • Working closely with the alumni relations office to build and maintain an updated database of alumni willing to mentor students, planning, sourcing, matching, and tracking alumni mentors to different MBA categories.
  • This also includes facilitating introductions between students and alumni for mentorship or job opportunities, organising alumni-student networking or meet & greet events, and coordinating with corporate partners and recruiters to increase MBA hiring pipelines.

Internship & Full-Time Placement Assistance:

  • Assisting in managing the internship and placement process by tracking job postings, deadlines, and application statuses, coordinating interviews and communications between students and employers, maintaining and updating placement records and reports, and supporting the Head, Careers & Placement.

Administrative & Reporting Support:

  • Maintaining accurate records of student engagement, employer outreach, and event data.
  • This includes preparing reports, surveys, and dashboards for internal stakeholders and accreditation purposes, conducting research activities such as annual impact surveys and salary surveys, and managing databases for potential employers, organisations, and students.
  • The role also ensures proper filing of documents and record keeping, provides interested organisations with information about the internship programme, and collates internship documents pre and post grading by supervisors.
  • Assisting with any other duty to be assigned from time to time by the line manager to support the unit’s objectives.

Requirements

  • The MBA Careers Services Associate will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Education, HR, Communications, or a related field, and possess a minimum of two to four years of experience in career services, event coordination, alumni relations, talent acquisition, or a related field. Prior experience in a higher education or business school environment is an added advantage.
  • The ideal candidate must demonstrate exceptional organisational and project management skills, strong interpersonal and communication abilities (verbal and written), and proven experience in event planning and stakeholder engagement. High attention to detail and comfort with managing logistics-heavy workstreams are essential. Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Google Workspace is required.
  • The ability to work independently, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, along with a team-oriented mindset and strong service orientation, are critical.
  • Desirable attributes include a passion for supporting student success and career development, experience working with diverse student populations, comfort working with alumni, recruiters, and executive stakeholders, and a willingness to occasionally work evenings or weekends for events.
