Job Description

• Are you a movie buff with a flair for storytelling? Do you have a talent for summarizing movies in a way that hooks the audience and keeps them watching?
• We’re looking for a Creative Movie Recap Scriptwriter & Timestamp Curator to join our growing YouTube channel that specializes in engaging and entertaining movie recap videos.
• Your role will be to watch full-length movies, craft engaging summaries that break down the story in a compelling way, and provide precise timestamps for scenes that should be included in the recap edit.
• You must understand how to retain viewer interest, build suspense, and creatively retell movie plots while respecting copyright guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Watch full movies and write captivating, spoiler-rich recaps.
• Break down complex plots into engaging, easy-to-understand narratives.
• Structure each summary with a strong hook, smooth flow, and satisfying conclusion.
• Identify and provide detailed timestamps of relevant scenes that can be used in the recap video (with scene descriptions).
• Suggest suitable titles and thumbnail ideas that will boost CTR (click-through rate).
• Collaborate with video editors for seamless video production.
• Deliver scripts and timestamps within deadlines (5 recaps per week expected).

What We’re Looking For

•  Interested candidate should possess an OND qualification with 1 – 4 years work experience.
• Strong writing skills with a unique, engaging voice.
• Excellent storytelling ability – know how to “retell” without boring the viewer.
• Deep understanding of movie structure (beginning, rising action, climax, resolution).
• Ability to identify pivotal moments and scenes that drive engagement.
• Experience with YouTube or content creation is a big plus.
• Passion for movies, series, and pop culture.
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and self-driven.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience writing for YouTube, film blogs, or entertainment platforms.
• Understanding of YouTube analytics (audience retention, watch time).
• Enthusiasm for viral content and YouTube trends.

Pay

• Salary: N120,000 – N150,000 per month, depending on experience.
• Bonuses for high-performing videos that go viral
• All work is remote – you only need a laptop, internet, and passion for movies!
