Job Summary

• As we expand, we are looking for a Network Security Engineer to join our team. This role requires a highly skilled professional with a strong networking background and hands-on security expertise.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure network architectures, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and cloud security solutions.
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability management, and risk mitigation strategies for network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and optimize network security configurations, ensuring performance, availability, and compliance with best practices.
• Deploy and manage security tools such as Sophos, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Fortinet, or similar.
• Implement and manage Zero Trust and secure access solutions for cloud and on-prem environments.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate security controls across LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, and cloud networks.
• Monitor network security events, respond to incidents, and support forensic investigations.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, including NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Benchmarks, and PCI DSS.
• Document security policies, network diagrams, and incident reports.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in network security, cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and endpoint security solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of routing, switching, VLANs, subnetting, and TCP/IP protocols.
• Experience with cloud security solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP) and securing hybrid environments.
• Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, SOAR, and NAC solutions.
• Proficiency in network security hardening and vulnerability management.
• Understanding of identity and access management (IAM), MFA, and SSO.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Certifications (One or more):

• Networking: CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or equivalent
• Security: CISSP, CISM, CEH, GSEC, or equivalent
• Firewall/Security-Specific: Palo Alto PCNSE, Fortinet NSE, Sophos XG, or equivalent

Work Model:

• Hybrid (Lagos, Nigeria) – Candidates must be willing to work onsite at least 2–3 days per week.
