Job Title: Online Sales Advisor

Location: Lekki, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for qualifying online leads generated from various platforms and converting them into sales for Capital Equipment, Spare Parts, and Maintenance services.
  • Manage a portfolio consisting of dormant and active, as well as new and existing accounts.
  • Accountability includes increasing the portfolio sales revenue and ensuring all accounts are engaged in all HMD’s services and products.
  • Also responsible for regularly updating and managing the CRM database, ensuring cross-selling, upselling, and preventive maintenance, and contributing to achieving the HMD Group sales target and the individual sales target set by management.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Online Sales Activities:

  • Qualify and assess leads generated from various online channels, including the HMD website,
  • WhatsApp / Rasayel, Social Media Platforms and other online portals, and occasionally leads received on Equipment Hub.
  • Follow the established online sales process for qualified and unqualified leads, reporting to the Online Sales Manager for guidance and support.
  • Coordinate, follow up on and close deals with the support of the Product Support Manager for deals involving territories outside of HMD’s operational regions.
  • Close deals and work closely with the Head of Sales for deals within territories where HMD operates, ensuring alignment on strategies and customer requirements.
  • Take charge of meticulously managing our CRM (Hubspot), ensuring every interaction is accurately logged and up to date.
  • Manage HMD inboxes, including sales and info inquiries; conduct discovery calls; collaborate with the Head of Sales / Branch Manager on quotations; route supplier inquiries appropriately; forward job applicant inquiries to HR; and handle non-business-related inquiries.
  • Perform comprehensive background checks on companies contacting HMD to ensure due diligence and mitigate potential risks in business interactions.
  • Maintain organised and up-to-date CRM records through regular housekeeping and maintenance activities.
  • Master the art of managing callbacks, turning them into golden opportunities.
  • Handle customer complaints and identify customer needs. Report findings to the Online Sales Manager with recommendations.
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and performance metrics to the Online Sales Manager.
  • Ensure that the customer database is updated daily with details on HubSpot
  • Conduct training sessions for new team members on HubSpot to ensure proficiency in utilising the platform for marketing and sales activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • 1 – 2 years of experience in sales, service, spare parts in heavy machinery industry
  • Excellent command of English and French is a significant plus. Previous experience with CRM software (Hubspot experience is a plus).
  • Google Workspace – Intermediate Level.
