Job Summary

  • We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Optometrist Intern to join our team.
  • This role provides hands-on experience in conducting eye examinations, determining prescriptions, and educating patients on eye care.
  • Under the supervision of experienced optometrists, you will assist with diagnostic procedures, manage patient records, and support clinical operations.
  • Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, eager to learn, and passionate about delivering exceptional patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive eye exams.
  • Determine prescriptions for glasses or contact lenses.
  • Educate patients on eye care and preventive measures.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment.
  • Record patient histories and test results.
  • Assist in administering treatments and fitting lenses.
  • Follow up with patients post-treatment.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals.
  • Manage optical supplies.
  • Participate in training and professional development.

Requirements

  • Must possess a Doctor of Optometry (OD)
  • Have a valid practising license
  • Basic knowledge of eye anatomy and optometric procedures.
  • Familiarity with optometric instruments and tools.
  • Proficiency in patient record management systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
