Job Title: Porter & Front Desk Officer

Location: Maitama, Abuja (FCT)

Job Summary

  • Are you a customer-focused individual with a passion for providing excellent service in the hotel and hospitality sector?
  • We are currently seeking a qualified Porter and Front Desk professional with a minimum of 3 years of experience and relevant educational qualifications to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests upon arrival, assist with luggage handling, and provide directions and information about hotel facilities.
  • Ensure the lobby and entrance areas are clean, welcoming, and well-maintained at all times.
  • Assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures, including processing payments and issuing room keys.
  • Answer guest inquiries in person, over the phone, and via email, providing accurate and prompt responses.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to address guest requests and resolve issues promptly.
  • Maintain a log of guest requests, complaints, and feedback for follow-up and improvement.
  • Monitor and control access to hotel premises, ensuring security protocols are followed.
  • Handle reservations, cancellations, and modifications in the hotel booking system.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and preparing reports for management.
  • Uphold high standards of professionalism, hospitality, and customer service in all interactions with guests.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a customer-facing role within the hotel and hospitality industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle various guest requests simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using hotel management software and reservation systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
  • A service-oriented mindset with a genuine desire to exceed guest expectations and ensure a pleasant stay experience.
