Position Overview:
- The procurement intern will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of the EpiC technical assistance program for the COVID-19 Response Mechanism (C19RM) grant managed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). The intern’s primary responsibility is to assist the NCDC’s procurement team in various aspects related to C19RM implementation.
Responsibilities:
- Collect, collate, and upload procurement data to the designated platform as required by the Global Fund.
- Assist in day-to-day NCDC/Global Fund procurement activities, focusing on data collation and analysis.
- Conduct market surveys and analyze price intelligence as part of routine tasks.
- Create and maintain procurement records for all Global Fund procurement activities.
- Be ready to undertake any other assignments as directed by the Head of the Procurement Unit (NCDC).
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Hold a B.Sc or BA Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Economics, or related fields.
- Possess a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in the specified areas.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated computer literacy.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others.
- Competence in using the internet and email communication.
- Must have completed the NYSC (National Youth Service Corps) program.
Desired Experience:
- Previous experience working with large, complex organizations is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with international NGOs is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:
- Ability to effectively manage tight deadlines and handle a high volume of work with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills to monitor administrative and implementation results.
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a diverse team.

- Well-developed computer skills with keen attention to detail.
