Job Title: Quality Assurance Intern
Location: Ikorodu, Lagos
Job Schedule: Full-time
Job Summary
- As a Quality Assurrance Intern, you will work closely with the technology and product teams to ensure the quality and performance of our software products.
- This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, Agile Scrum environment while contributing to the delivery of high-quality software.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Scrum Team (developers, product owners, and Scrum master) to understand user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Assist in writing and executing test cases (manual and automated) to ensure software functionality meets specifications.
- Participate in daily Scrum meetings, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Report and track defects using a bug tracking tool (e.g,JIRA) and ensure that they are resolved within the sprint.
- Conduct functional, regression, and exploratory testing to ensure high-quality product releases.
- Learn and apply best practices in test design and test execution.
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test results.
- Continuously improve testing processes and help the team achieve better efficiency and quality in every sprint.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or any related field.
- Basic understanding of software testing principles (functional, regression, integration, etc.).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum.
- Strong attention to detail with a quality-first mindset.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced Agile environment.
- Exposure to automation testing tools (Cypress, Playwright) and frameworks.
- Familiarity with JIRA or other issue tracking systems.
- Exposure to CI/CD practices and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills..
