Job Title: Radiographer – Full Time/Part Time
Location: Kubwa, Abuja (FCT)
Job type: Full Time / Part Time
Responsibilities
- Preparing examination rooms for patient examination.
- Positioning patients and equipment, explaining the procedures and ensuring patients comfort
- Performing diagnostic imaging to obtain clear, usable images
- Inserting commands and data into the computer to document and specify the scan sequences and monitoring the video display to adjust the density or contrast.
- Participating in pain management for children.
- Monitoring patients during examinations, ensuring their safety, and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation.
- Producing diagnostic images, reporting important information to the physician and updating patients’ records
- Organizing daily procedure schedules for emergencies and monitoring radiographic equipment supplies.
- Performing scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on radiographic repairs.
- Performing other administrative task such as answering technical questions, scheduling appointments and offering pre-procedure advice.
- Remaining up to date on the latest developments, rules, and regulations, drug therapies, equipment, and treatment procedures.
Requirements
- Academic: Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Radiography (BSc, MR)
- Professional License: Must have valid and updated practising license
- Work Experience: Minimum of 1 to 2 years of working experience.
- Computer skills: Candidate must have good knowledge of computer
- Registration: The ideal candidate must be a member of the professional body.
