Job Title: Radiographer
Locations: Delta and Edo
Position Summary
- The Radiographer will support the radiographic components of the TB REACH Wave 11 project.
- The successful candidate will work closely with project staff, partners, and stakeholders to ensure the achievement of the project objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Position will:
- Prepare and position patients for X-ray procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Operate PDX equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images.
- Adjust imaging parameters according to specific diagnostic needs.
- Maintain accurate records of radiographic procedures and patient information.
- Ensure compliance with all radiation safety protocol checks and radiographic equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate with technical support for repairs.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.
- Support and adhere to the facility’s policies and procedures.
- Work closely with the State TB and Leprosy Control Program (STBLCP) to ensure optimal use of the Portable Digital X-rays for Active TB case finding in Hotspot communities.
- Perform other additional duties assigned.
Requirements
Education:
- First Degree in Radiography or other relevant courses. A master’s degree would be an added advantage.
Experience, Skills & Minimum Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Health Sector or other relevant fields
- Previous experience in the development sector, especially in NGOs, preferred.
- Desire to succeed and continually improve performance.
- Team player with a positive attitude and sense of humor.
- Flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment.
- Ability to work under pressure, independently, and with limited supervision.
- Ability to handle patients with care and confidentiality.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in both office and field settings.
- Excellent computer application skills.
- Knowledge of the operational area.
