Job Title: Receptionist

Job Summary

  • We are looking for a friendly, organized, and professional Dental Receptionist to join our dental clinic team.
  • This position plays a key role in creating a welcoming environment for patients while managing the administrative duties of the clinic.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling patient appointments, answering inquiries, and ensuring smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet Patients: Welcome patients with a warm and friendly attitude, providing them with necessary forms and information about their visit.
  • Schedule Appointments: Manage and schedule patient appointments, ensuring that the clinic’s schedule runs efficiently. Confirm and remind patients of upcoming appointments.
  • Phone and Email Communication: Answer incoming phone calls and respond to emails, providing information about services, scheduling, and insurance inquiries.
  • Patient Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including personal details, medical histories, and treatment information.
  • Billing and Payments: Process patient payments, handle billing inquiries, and assist with insurance claims and verification.
  • Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage and inform patients of any out-of-pocket costs or payment options.
  • Assist with Administrative Tasks: Perform general office duties such as filing, organizing, and maintaining patient files. Prepare patient charts and ensure that all necessary documentation is ready for the dental team.
  • Manage Waiting Area: Maintain a clean and organized waiting area to ensure a comfortable environment for patients.
  • Coordinate with Staff: Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and dentists to ensure smooth patient flow and effective communication regarding treatment needs.
  • Handle Confidentiality: Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained in compliance with HIPAA and other relevant privacy regulations.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient questions or concerns in a professional and friendly manner.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Additional training or certification in office administration, dental assisting, or related fields is a plus.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a dental office or medical setting is preferred, but not required. Training will be provided.

Skills:

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage a busy environment.
  • Proficient in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, dental management software).
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, treatments, and procedures is a plus.
  • Customer service-oriented with a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
