Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct economic research on various issues, including market trends, industry analysis, and policy developments.
- Conduct market research on client business and its competitors, analyze data to derive meaningful insights and forecast.
- Develop proposals which include business plans, strategy plan, and retreat proposals outlining processes, financial implications, team composition, company profiles, and relevant past projects.
- Lead and manage a team of researchers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to identify research priorities and project opportunities.
- Prepare and present research findings, reports, and presentations to clients and stakeholders.
- Stay updated on economic trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments to inform research projects and strategic recommendations.
- Identify and create new business opportunities through existing networks and by establishing new contacts.
- Review and analyze the efficacy of the implementation of business strategies.
- Devise strategies to increase revenue, cut costs, and promote business growth.
- Provide editorial services and act as a rapporteur when necessary.
Job Requirements
- B.Sc. in Economics, Social Sciences, or any Finance related fields (minimum of 2:2/Upper Credit); Master’s and professional qualifications are added advantage.
- 5 – 7 years of work experience in a research/strategy role (Consulting experience will be added advantage)
- Strong proficiency in economic research and analysis.
- Excellent report writing skills, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Leadership experience, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Effective communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to convey complex economic concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to delivering high- quality work under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and contemporary data management software.
