Job Title: Senior Financial Accountant

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Who We’re Looking For

  • We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to manage financial records, ensure compliance with regulations, and support the company’s financial health.
  • This role will be responsible for day-to-day accounting, including internal management accounts across group companies, reconciling expenses, tracking and reporting revenue, and handling multi-currency financial operations. Given our operations across various countries, FX exposure is essential to manage income and losses effectively.
  • Candidates with experience in fintech, banking, or professional services firms are highly desirable. An ICAN or ACA qualification is a strong plus, as we require a chartered accountant for this role

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain and update financial records across multiple company accounts within the group.
  • Prepare internal management accounts, financial statements, reports, and budgets.
  • Reconcile expenses, track revenue, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Manage foreign exchange (FX) exposure across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, accounting standards, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Conduct bank and account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Assist in financial forecasting, cost control, and cash flow management.
  • Support audits and regulatory financial reviews.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless financial operations.

What You’ll Need

  • A Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • ICAN or ACA certification (or equivalent), demonstrating chartered status.
  • 5-7years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in fintech, banking, or Financial services.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, multi-entity accounting, and FX management.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-country fintech environment.
