Job Title: Senior Hydraulic Engineer

Locations: Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN. Multiple Additional Offices in the Midwest.

Salary: $120K/yr – $150K/yr + Bonus, Sign-on bonus, Stock options, Profit sharing

  • We are seeking a full-time Senior Hydraulic Engineer. This position involves leading strategic pursuits, building client relationships, and managing projects such as conceptual or alternative studies, preliminary design, and final design plans, including occasional on-site observations for hydraulic design and analysis projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Hydraulic Design – Conduct and support hydraulic analysis, design, reporting, permitting, and quality assurance for riverine projects.
  • Project Management – Manage complex hydraulic design projects effectively.
  • Staff Supervision – Nurture staff growth in hydraulic analysis and design through a respectful, collaborative approach.
  • Group Growth – Assist in developing and implementing a strategic growth plan for the market, including short and long-term action plans.
  • Client Relationships – Develop, manage, and maintain client relationships.
  • Marketing – Identify and pursue project opportunities, especially in new markets.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in 1D and 2D riverine hydraulic modeling.
  • Experience with local and federal permitting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational, technical, and analytical skills.
  • Experience in supervisory and team-building roles.
  • Experience with proposal development, client management, and business development.
  • At least 10 years of experience in water resources project management, including stormwater management, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, infrastructure analysis, water quality, wetland science, channel restoration, and permitting.
  • B.S. in Environmental, Civil, or Water Resources Engineering or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing multidisciplinary projects.
  • Experience leading proposal management and development.
  • Success in business development and client management.

Salary range: $120,000 – $150,000

  • Compensation is determined by factors such as education, experience, skills, and job location.
  • Visa sponsorship may be available.
