Job Title: Senior IT Officer
Location: Lagos
Job Summary
- The ideal candidate will manage our websites, cloud services, and IT systems while providing hands-on technical support.
- This role requires a solid understanding of web technologies and cloud platforms like AWS and cPanel.
- Experience with hardware setup or repair, CCTV installation, and tools like 3CX is a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain websites using frameworks and tools such as Laravel, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Keep all websites running smoothly with minimal downtime; set up tools to monitor uptime and performance.
- Manage domain names, web hosting accounts, DNS settings, and use tools like cPanel and WHM.
- Monitor and maintain our AWS cloud servers (ensure they are funded, online, and running efficiently).
- Work with the SEO team to improve website search rankings and technical performance.
- Lead web and app projects, from idea stage to launch, including planning, setting milestones, testing, and working with external developers.
- Provide IT support to team members across multiple office locations (remotely or on-site).
- Help with troubleshooting software, hardware, and connectivity issues.
- Assist in managing overall IT infrastructure with the internal team.
- Support and coordinate other general IT tasks as needed across departments.
- Set up and troubleshoot email accounts (Outlook, Gmail), Google Drive, and other cloud-based applications used by the organisation.
- Support in resolving helpdesk requests, prioritising urgent issues, and escalating when necessary.
- Assist with CCTV system installation, maintenance, and repairs.
- Use and support communication tools like 3CX VoIP phone systems.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong experience with Laravel, HTML, CSS, and general web development.
- Knowledge of cPanel, WHM, domain management, and web hosting.
- Experience managing AWS cloud infrastructure (especially EC2 instances).
- Hands-on experience with IT support – troubleshooting laptops, software, network issues, etc.
- Familiarity with CCTV setup and repair is an added advantage.
- Experience with 3CX or similar VoIP systems is a plus.
- Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical staff.
- Relevant IT certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, AWS, Laravel, etc.) are a plus.
