Job Title: Social Media Manager

Location: Remote

Job Summary

  • The Social Media Manager is responsible for leading and executing the organization’s social media strategy across all platforms. This includes content planning, community engagement, campaign execution, analytics, and brand storytelling to grow the organization’s digital presence and support its strategic objectives.

Role Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement an integrated social media strategy aligned with business goals and brand positioning.
  • Create and manage content calendars, campaign plans, and platform-specific tactics to maximize reach and engagement.

Content Development and Management:

  • Oversee content creation (text, images, video, and interactive formats) for all social media platforms.
  • Ensure brand voice and visual identity are consistently maintained across platforms.

Community Engagement and Growth:

  • Monitor, respond, and engage with audiences to build meaningful relationships and foster an active online community.
  • Manage social listening to identify trends, opportunities, and potential issues in real-time.

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics to assess campaign effectiveness and optimize strategy.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and audience research to inform strategic decisions.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Work closely with marketing, creative, and PR teams to align messaging and coordinate campaigns.
  • Supervise and mentor social media support staff, freelancers, and agency partners where applicable.

Qualifications and Requirements
Education and Certifications:

  • A university degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications in Digital Marketing or Social Media Management are an advantage.

Experience:

  • Candidates should possess a minimum of 3 years experience managing social media platforms and digital campaigns.
  • Proven track record of growing brand presence and driving engagement through creative content and data-driven strategies.
  • Experience in the energy, development, or infrastructure sectors is an asset.

Skills:
Digital Expertise:

  • Proficiency in managing social media tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social) and analytics platforms.
  • Strong command of content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and emerging digital trends.
  • Creative and Strategic Thinking
  • Ability to craft compelling narratives and visually appealing content that resonates with target audiences.
  • Experience in planning and executing paid and organic campaigns with measurable ROI.
