Job Summary

  • The Solar Sales Representative for Channel Development will be responsible for driving the growth of solar energy products through channel partners such as distributors, resellers, and installers.
  • This role involves identifying, onboarding, and managing channel partners to expand the company’s market share in Nigeria.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, familiarity with solar energy solutions, and the ability to adapt to Nigeria’s dynamic market conditions.

Key Responsibilities
Channel Partner Management:

  • Identify, onboard, and maintain relationships with distributors, resellers, and installers to promote solar products.
  • Conduct regular reviews with partners to evaluate performance and align on growth strategies.

Sales and Business Development:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share targets.
  • Actively pursue new business opportunities and foster long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to support channel partners in meeting customer needs.

Market Research and Strategy:

  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Provide feedback on product development and pricing to ensure competitiveness in the Nigerian market.

Training and Support:

  • Deliver training sessions and presentations to channel partners on product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Provide ongoing support to partners to address challenges and ensure customer satisfaction.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare and present regular sales and performance reports to management.
  • Maintain accurate records of partner activities, sales forecasts, and market intelligence.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor`s Degree in any relevant field
  • 2-5 years of experience in sales, channel development, or business development, preferably within renewable energy, solar, or related industries (e.g., generators or white goods).
  • Proven track record in building and managing partnerships that drive sales growth.

  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

  • Familiarity with solar products, technologies, and solutions.
