Description
- We are seeking three (3) National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members to join our team as Storekeepers at our project sites and properties in Abuja.
- This is an excellent opportunity for young professionals to gain hands-on experience in inventory management and site operations within the construction industry.
Job Summary
- The NYSC Storekeeper will be responsible for managing construction materials, tools, and equipment across Exhale Avenue’s project sites. This role involves inventory control, tracking stock levels, coordinating material distribution, and ensuring the security of stored items. The ideal candidates must be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working in a fast-paced construction environment.
Roles & Responsibilities
Inventory Management & Record-Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of materials, tools, and equipment received and issued.
- Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile inventory records.
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of all items to prevent damage or loss.
Store Coordination & Logistics:
- Work closely with site engineers and procurement teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to prevent project delays.
- Assist in tracking incoming and outgoing materials to different project sites.
Procurement Support:
- Verify the quality and quantity of materials received against purchase orders.
- Assist in coordinating deliveries with suppliers and ensuring proper documentation.
- Flag any discrepancies in material supplies and report them to the Lead Site Engineer.
Security & Compliance:
- Implement safety measures to safeguard materials and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies regarding inventory management.
- Support health and safety initiatives by maintaining a clean and organized storage area.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must be a current NYSC member seeking a primary place of assignment (PPA).
- Degree in either; Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or Civil Engineering (Compulsory)
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management software is an added advantage.
