Description

  • The Talent Planning & Acquisition Lead manages the end-to-end resourcing lifecycle, ensuring the organization consistently attracts, engages, and retains top talent specifically aligned with the dynamic demands of the oil and gas industry.
  • This role drives robust resourcing strategies, sustains effective talent pipelines, leads industry-specific workforce planning initiatives, and ensures optimal talent allocation across technical, operational, and corporate functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute targeted resourcing strategies aligned with organizational objectives within the oil and gas sector.
  • Lead industry-specific workforce planning and forecasting, ensuring readiness for evolving business and operational needs.
  • Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines through targeted sourcing, market intelligence, and relationship management, particularly within technical disciplines (engineering, geosciences, operations, HSE).
  • Partner closely with technical and operational stakeholders to translate specialized workforce requirements into actionable resourcing plans.
  • Optimize talent analytics dashboards and applicable HR technology
  • Implement cutting-edge assessment technologies for technical and behavioral competencies
  • Support employer branding initiatives across digital platforms and industry channels

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Engineering, Business Administration, or a relevant discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, talent planning and development, or resourcing, preferably within oil and gas, energy, or related heavy industry sectors.
  • Demonstrable experience sourcing technical and operational talent (e.g., engineers, geoscientists, technicians, HSE specialists).
  • Familiarity with industry-specific workforce standards, compliance requirements, and recruitment methodologies.
  • Experience using industry-standard Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and talent analytics tools.
  • Strategic thinker, skilled in aligning talent initiatives with oil and gas business priorities.
  • Data-driven decision making with strong analytical capabilities
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, capable of interfacing effectively with technical and operational leadership
