Job Title: Technical Assistant to the CEO

Locations: Lekki – Lagos, Warri – Delta & Port Harcourt – Rivers

Employment Type: Full-time

Work Mode: Onsite, Monday – Friday.

Job Overview

  • We are hiring a highly qualified and experienced Technical Assistant to the CEO for our client with the Oil and Gas sector.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic, technical, and administrative support to the executive leadership.
  • The role demands a seasoned engineer with deep industry expertise to drive decision-making processes and ensure the smooth execution of technical initiatives.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical and analytical support to the CEO in decision-making, operations, and strategic planning.
  • Coordinate and manage the execution of high-impact technical projects aligned with the company’s goals.
  • Conduct technical research, feasibility assessments, and risk analyses for proposed technical initiatives.
  • Prepare and review technical presentations, reports, and briefings for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate meetings, prepare agendas, document minutes, and track deliverables.
  • Manage communication with industry stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and strategic partners.
  • Support the CEO in business development strategies and key negotiations.

Requirements (Kindly note that these are the minimum qualifications for this role)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical or Chemical).
  • Minimum of 6 years as a Technical Assistant, with at least 4 years in the oil and gas sector.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent technical report writing and presentation skills.
  • Must be an Petroleum, Mechanical or Chemical Engineer.
  • Experience and good knowlegde of project management
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must possess a PMP or equivalent certification.
  • Active membership in a recognized engineering body.
  • Strong understanding of oil and gas industry regulations is required.
  • The role requires travel to operational sites when necessary, hence knowledge of areas such as Portharcourt and Warri is an advantage
  • Commitment to continuous learning and development is highly valued.

Location Details:

  • Lagos HQ, Port Harcourt (Operations), Warri (Operations).

Benefits

  • Salary: N5,000,000 – N6,000,000 Annually (Gross).
  • Performance based bonuses.
