Job Title: Technical Assistant to the Managing Director

Location: Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Work Mode: Hybrid

Key Responsibilities
Technical Support to the MD:

  • Assist in preparing technical reports, presentations, and proposals for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze project data and provide concise summaries to aid decision-making.
  • Conduct research and gather industry insights to support strategic initiatives.

Project Coordination:

  • Track progress on key projects and provide regular updates to the MD.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Coordinate and attend meetings, preparing agendas, minutes, and action plans.

Administrative Support:

  • Manage the MD’s calendar, scheduling meetings and ensuring timely follow-ups.
  • Handle correspondence and communications on behalf of the MD.
  • Organize and maintain critical documentation, ensuring accessibility and accuracy.

Technology Management:

  • Leverage software tools to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Prepare and analyse data using industry-specific platforms and applications.
  • Assist in the adoption and implementation of new technologies.

Liaison Role:

  • Ensure smooth communication and relay critical information accurately.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a B.Eng qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years, preferably within the Oil and Gas industry

Skills & Competencies:

  • Organisational Skills: Prioritising tasks, managing multiple responsibilities, and maintaining a structured environment.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities to interact effectively with team members, management, and clients.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks and documentation.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to handle unexpected challenges with a resourceful, solution-oriented approach.
  • Familiarity with engineering tools and software (AutoCAD, MATLAB, SAP, or similar).
  • Advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyse technical data and provide actionable insights.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
  • Tech-savvy: Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and tools.
