We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the Oil and Gas/Manufacturing engineering industry and have proven expertise in sales, client relations, and market analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifying and establishing new business opportunities
  • Preparing and delivering customer presentations and demonstrations of the software, articulately and confidently
  • Providing technical advice to customers on all aspects of the installation and use of computer systems and networks, both before and after the sale
  • Advising on software features and how they can be applied to assist in a variety of contexts such as management information or within specific business areas
  • Negotiating tender and contract terms to meet both client and company needs
  • Providing training and producing support material for the sales team as needed
  • Networking with existing customers in order to maintain links and promote additional products and upgrades
  • Responding to tender documents, writing proposals, reports and supporting literature
  • Managing workload in order to organize and prioritize daily and weekly goals

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in business development, sales, or client relations within the engineering, construction, or industrial sector; experience in electrical engineering is preferred.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong knowledge of the electrical engineering industry and market dynamics.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and translate them into business opportunities.
  • Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented, with a passion for client engagement and relationship building.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
