Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer – Graduate Trainee (NYSC)

Position Summary
- We are seeking a highly motivated and technically inclined Graduate Trainee (NYSC) to join our team as a Technical Sales Engineer.
- This role is ideal for recent engineering graduates posted to Port Harcourt for their National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) who are passionate about the upstream oil and gas sector and are looking to develop a career in technical sales, business development, and client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the technical sales team in preparing technical and commercial proposals, EOIs, and RFQs for upstream oilfield services.
- Assist in identifying and qualifying business opportunities within IOCs, NOCs, and marginal field operators.
- Participate in client meetings, technical presentations, and product/service demonstrations.
- Liaise with OEMs and technical partners to gather product specifications, datasheets, and pricing.
- Conduct market and competitor research to support sales strategy and positioning.
- Provide support for tender submissions including bid document preparation, compliance matrixes, and follow-ups.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and opportunity tracking via CRM systems.
- Engage in continuous learning on oilfield equipment and services, including subsea systems, drilling technologies, and production enhancement tools.
Qualifications & Requirements
- B.Eng or B.Sc in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or related disciplines.
- Currently undergoing NYSC, with Port Harcourt posting (preferably with PPA flexibility or reposting possibility).
- Strong interest in the upstream oil & gas sector, particularly technical sales and field services.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a persuasive and professional demeanor.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with AutoCAD or CRM software is an advantage.
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to interpret technical documentation.
- Must be proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
