The company is saddled with the primary responsibility of distributing and marketing electricity to end users within the five states in the South-East geo-political zone; namely: Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo, with a total of 18 Business Districts offices across these states.
1). Electrical Fitter
Locations: EEDC District Offices

Key Responsibilities
- Installation and Maintenance of Transformers.
- Installation and Maintenance of Feeder Pillar Unit.
- Construction and provision of new earthen system and improvement of old ones in the Substations.
- Installation and Maintenance of Circuit Breakers, Sockets, Ring main Unit.
- Weeding of Distribution Substation
Qualification and Experience
- O’Level and above.
- Applicant must show certification of any level in Electrical Electronics Engineering field.
- Must have between one (1) to five (5) years’ Experience
- Age required : 25 to 35 years.

2). PC&M Officer
Locations: EEDC District Offices
Job Type: Full Time
Vacancy: Six (6) Openings
Key Responsibilities
- Perform relay setting calculations, calibrations, and develop coordination reports for electrical
- protection systems.
- Manage and troubleshoot overcurrent, earth fault, and overload protection systems.
- Maintain and repair 33kV/11kV switchgear and control panels for optimal operation.
- Install and wire metering panels and protection relays, ensuring proper system integration.
- Oversee the commissioning of distribution transformers and injection substations, including system testing and integration.
- Test and commission switchgear and protection equipment, troubleshooting faults as necessary.
- Regularly monitor and maintain protection relays, adjusting settings as needed.
- Ensure battery banks and tripping units are maintained and functioning properly.
- Perform pressure tests on lines and cables to ensure their integrity.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of distribution substations to ensure safety and proper operation.
Qualification and Experience
- A Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Electrical Electronics Engineering or any related field.
- Must have between one (1) to five (5) years’ Experience
- Age required : 20 to 35 years
- Strong expertise in protection relay settings, coordination, and calibration.
- In-depth understanding of electrical metering systems and control panel installation.
- Proficient in testing and commissioning electrical equipment, including switchgear, transformers, and protection relays.
- Knowledge of power distribution systems, fault analysis, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and prepare reports.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on safety and compliance.
