Job Title: UX Researcher
Location: Lagos (Remote)
Job Summary
- We are looking for a UX Researcher to help scale how we learn from users, uncovering user needs and improving customer experiences.
- Working closely with our product designers and PMs, you will design and execute research on user behaviors, needs, challenges, and motivations to make our products more intuitive, accessible and enjoyable for users.
Your day-to-day
- Design, and execute user research (interviews, surveys, usability tests) to gather qualitative and quantitative insights
- Establish priorities and work collaboratively with product managers, designers, and cross-functional units (i.e., Data Science, Customer Success, Marketing) to identify key research questions, and then scope, plan, and execute research to address those questions/goals
- Analyze user behaviours, needs, pain points, motivations and trends to improve user experience (UX)
- Contribute to developing user journey maps (user flows), storyboards, UX personas and other UX assets
- Analyse data and turn insights into actionable recommendation for the Product and product design teams to help shape design decisions
- Conduct user testing to help product designers create a prototype and again to identify any usability issues before the product or service is launched
- Collaborate with Product Designers and Product Managers to ensure research insights are integrated into the design process and product roadmap, while driving iterative improvements
- work closely with cross-functional teams that may include UX designers, product managers, developers and other stakeholders
- Bring a creative outlook to identifying user pain points, exploring opportunities, and suggesting innovative solutions
- Evaluate and review websites and other digital services from a user’s perspective, including those of competitors, to continuously improve the user experience
- Advocate and build empathy for users by sharing insights through reports, presentations, and personas; while ensuring we deliver intuitive, impactful, and delightful experiences
- Gather user feedback, track product performance, and identify areas for enhancement
- Keep up to date with UX research best practices and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by refining our UX research processes, tools and methodologies as we scale.
What you bring
- At least a Bachelor’s degree
- 3 years of experience conducting UX research, preferably in the fintech or banking industry
- Strong analytical and storytelling skills to present insights.
- Ability to design and conduct research studies, from planning to analysis
- Partnering with product teams to plan research sessions and prepare interview materials.
- Strong communication skills to present insights effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Understanding of product design processes and a passion for user experience
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
- Empathy, curiosity, and a drive to solve user problems
- Proficiency in research methodologies and tools (Figma, Dovetail, Lookback etc.).
- Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative UX research methods (interviews, usability testing, surveys etc.)
- Prototyping & Wireframing (for Concept Testing)
- Data Analysis & Visualization (Excel, Google Sheets etc).
