1). Programme Assistant, Community & Feedback Mechanism
Location: Borno, Yobe
Description
- ActionAid Nigeria is inviting applications from qualified candidates to fill the following positions on the World Food Programme (WFP) funded projected implemented in Shani, Borno State and Bade, Yobe State.
- Programme Assistant, Community and Feedback Mechanism; Accountability to affected Population (Protection), Social Cohesion and Peace Building-WFP-BMZ Project (Shani – Borno x4 and Bade – Yobe x2)
- The post holder will support the Protection Officer in working with programme staff and beneficiaries to develop structure and methods for managing the complaints and feedback in the field as well as maintaining the integrity of information received.
Person Specification
Education / Qualifications:
- At least National Diploma in Social Sciences or Arts / Humanities is essential
- Membership of relevant professional bodies and agencies is desirable.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years related experience is essential.
- Experience in implementation of accountability and complaints reporting mechanisms in Nigeria is essential.
- Related experience on WFP funded project is desirable.
Skill / Abilities:
- Strong communication and writing skills.
- Excellent report-writing skills
- Confidentiality and highly numerate
- Excellent interpersonal skills and Negotiation skills
- Research and analytical skills
- Excellent strategic planning skills
- Demonstrable IT skills, tact, and diplomacy
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior political, community, and civic leaders as well as members of the donor and diplomatic community.

2). Programme Assistant, Community Outreach
Location: Borno, Yobe
Description
- ActionAid Nigeria is inviting applications from qualified candidates to fill the following positions on the World Food Programme (WFP) funded projected implemented in Shani, Borno State and Bade, Yobe State.
- Programme Assistant, Community Outreach; Accountability to affected Population (Protection), Social Cohesion and Peace Building, (WFP-BMZ Project) Shani-Borno x1 and Bade- Yobe x1
- The post holder will be responsible for information sharing to the affected population; creating awareness and sensitization on frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), Pre- and Post-distribution information (entitlement, available feedback channels and any other information as may be communicated) and other activities under the WFP- BMZ project.

Education / Qualifications:
- At least National Diploma in Social Sciences or Arts / Humanities is essential.
- Membership of relevant professional bodies and agencies is desirable.
Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years practical experience in related position is essential.
- Experience in awareness creation is essential.
- Experience on impactfully engaging with stakeholders and advocacy initiatives is essential.
- Experience working with partners, stakeholders in social cohesion initiatives desirable is desirable.
