1). Government and External Affairs Manager

Job Description
- We are seeking a Government and External Affairs Manager to play a pivotal role in ensuring a conducive business environment, advocating the Group’s interests, and building strategic partnerships with governmental agencies, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders.
- With expertise in policy analysis and strong networking skills, the manager influences public policies to drive growth, by providing strategic support and ensuring successful implementation of various Cavista Holdings initiatives from collaborative engagements with government and regulatory bodies.
- As a Government and External Affairs manager, you will be responsible for supporting and executing the corporate vision and mission of Cavista holdings, while delivering world class experience and driving operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate and maintain productive relationships with government agencies, regulatory bodies, industry associations and develop effective strategies to secure and execute opportunities as they arise.
- Strategically forge impactful connections between the businesses and government entities
- Actively seek out and identify potential opportunities within the government landscape that can be leveraged to achieve strategic goals and business growth.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to explore potential partnerships, collaborations, and opportunities that may arise from government sources.
- Monitor and analyze relevant policy and regulatory developments that may impact the Group’s operations or market position.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute strategies that align with government and external affairs objectives.
- Represent the Group at meetings, conferences, and events with external stakeholders to advance our interests and promote our brand.
- Lead advocacy efforts on issues of importance to the Group, promoting our position with compelling arguments and supporting evidence.
- Engage in proactive communication with government officials and stakeholders to influence public policy decisions positively.
- Prepare and deliver high-impact presentations, briefings, and reports for internal and external audiences.
- Work closely with relevant teams to facilitate participation in identified programs for the benefit of our subsidiaries.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in government affairs and external relations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public Policy, Political Science, International Relations, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in government affairs, external relations, or public affairs within the IT industry or a related sector.
- Strong understanding of government structures, policy development processes, and regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrated success in identifying and securing opportunities from government entities.
- Excellent networking and relationship-building skills with a track record of establishing high-level government contacts.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to navigate complex political landscapes and build relationships at all levels of government and industry associations.
- Demonstrated ability to strategize, plan, and execute initiatives to achieve specific advocacy objectives.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess the impact of policies on the Group’s operations and make data-driven recommendations.
- Highly adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenges with a solutions-oriented approach.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other relevant software applications.

Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate the articulation of Cavista Holdings’ short- and long-term strategic plans.
- Facilitate the development and implementation of Cavista Holdings’ market diversification and growth strategy.
- Identify new opportunities – markets, products or services and develop a robust business case for Board approval and implementation.
- Partner with Business Leadership to drive optimal performance across all companies.
- Work with Business Leaders to analyze areas of improvement in the efficiency of business operations and propose appropriate action plans.
- Champion the development and implementation of a Group Key Performance Indicator (KPI) framework and dashboard tool.

Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Business or equivalent required
- 10+ years of management experience with demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence and foster a collaborative environment.
- 7+ years of operations management and leadership experience with profit and loss responsibility
- Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role (Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operations Officer, etc.) for a Holdings Company/Group of Companies preferred.
