1). Lead Software Quality Assurance Engineer
Location: Lagos
Role Overview
- We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented QA Lead to join our software development team.
- As a QA Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, functionality, and reliability of our software products.
- Your responsibilities will involve designing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with the development team to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Your efforts will directly contribute to delivering an exceptional user experience to our clients.
What you will be doing everyday
- Test Planning: Collaborate with the product management and development teams to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive test plans and test cases that cover all functional aspects of the software.
- Test Execution: Conduct various types of testing, including functional, regression, performance, and integration testing, to identify defects and ensure the software meets quality standards.
- Defect Identification and Reporting: Use testing tools and methodologies to identify, document, and report software defects or anomalies. Work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Test Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts to streamline the testing process and increase test coverage. Continuously enhance test automation frameworks for optimal efficiency.
- Test Data Management: Create and maintain test data sets to ensure comprehensive testing across different scenarios and environments.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the overall quality assurance and software development processes.
- Compatibility Testing: Validate the software’s performance across various devices, browsers, and operating systems.
- Documentation: Maintain clear and detailed documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results for reference and future use.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and project managers, to drive effective communication and problem-solving.
- Release Management: Assist in the release process by conducting final checks to ensure software readiness for deployment.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years proven experience as a QA Engineer or similar role, with a strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with test management tools, bug tracking systems, and test automation frameworks.
- Proficiency in programming and scripting languages for test automation (e.g., Java, Python, Selenium).
- Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail to identify potential issues and suggest improvements.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively within a team and across departments.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks while meeting deadlines.

2). Compliance Associate
Location: Lagos
Role Overview
- Overall, as a Compliance Associate, you are responsible for developing and implementing effective AML and KYC programs to prevent money laundering, terrorist financing, and other financial crimes.
- The ideal person will monitor business processes and perform routine audits to identify and mitigate potential compliance risks.
What you will be doing every day
- Review of Merchant’s KYC documents at the point of onboarding and during the course of the relationship to ensure all KYC documents are in place.
- Ensure all KYC processes and procedures are in line with regulatory requirements and the guidelines outlined in Fincra’s KYC policy.
- Conduct gap analysis and identify key KYC risks and recommend corresponding mitigants;
- Monitoring transactions for suspicious activity and reporting any suspicious transactions to the relevant authorities.
- Conducting enhanced due diligence (EDD) on high-risk customers, including politically exposed persons (PEPs).
- Maintaining accurate records of customer due diligence and transaction monitoring activities.
- Prepare compliance reports for management and coordinate with various teams to evaluate all queries and resolutions.
- Providing AML and KYC training to employees to ensure they understand their responsibilities and can identify potential money laundering activities.
- Conduct periodic reviews of customer information to ensure it is accurate and up-to-date.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years experience as a Compliance Officer in a B2B environment, financial services or banking industry.
- Proven experience in AML Transaction Monitoring and KYC in a Fintech or commercial bank.
- Knowledge of the financial crime regulatory frameworkTransaction Monitoring and KYC systems.
- Understanding the complex interactions of regulatory frameworks in the international finance space.
- Knowledge of data protection regulatory framework and requirements
- Experience in a high-growth team and/or startup experience.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, communications, analytical, and project management skills.
