1). Cook/Chef

Location: Yaba, Lagos

Position Summary

  • We are looking for a skilled Cook / Chef to prepare delicious meals according to menu.
  • Cook dishes that will delight our customers with their taste and timely delivery.
  • An excellent cook must be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals.
  • They must be deft in moving around the kitchen and apt in multi-tasking
  • Experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques is also important.

Responsibilities

  • Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen.
  • Monitoring supplies stock as needed.
  • Ensuring that cooking utensils are clean before each use.
  • Cleaning and sterilizing food preparation areas.
  • Preparing ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.).
  • Cooking food in various utensils or grillers.
  • Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
  • Check food while cooking to stir or turn.
  • Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served.
  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
  • Check quality of ingredients.

Requirements

  • Interested candidates should possess an HND or B.Sc with 2 – 3 years work experience.
  • 2+ years of culinary education.
  • 4+ years of experience in a similar position.
  • Advanced knowledge of food professional principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Available to work on-call, shifts, after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays.
  • Sound knowledge of cooking methods and techniques.
  • Proven experience working as a Cook.

2). Marketing Officer

Location: Yaba, Lagos

Position Summary

  • As a Marketing Officer, you are responsible for developing and fostering the business through proactive direct sales, marketing, telemarketing, direct mail, appointment calls and tours of the hotel.
  • Also develop strategic action plans for hotels to drive measurable, incremental sales revenue.
  • A self-driven individual who is passionate about hospitality and has what it takes to be able to market the services of the company to ensure its visibility to the public.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • A clear understanding of the hotel’s business strategies then set goals and to determine action plans to meet those goals.
  • Identify new markets and business opportunities and increase sales.
  • Represent Hotel in various events and exhibitions.
  • Implements all sales action plans related to my market areas as outlined in the marketing plan.
  • Conducts daily sales calls and arranges site inspection trips to hotels by corporate clients.
  • Able to provide Quick and timely responses, immediate communication to the properties, and develop professional long-term business relationships.
  • Provide the highest quality of service to the customer at all times.
  • Participates in sales calls with members of the sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business.
  • Able to support hotels’ service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
  • Develop strong relationships with the on-property front office team to ensure working in unity and always striving to achieve the same goals.
  • Targeting key accounts potential for the company.
  • Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings.
  • Develops relationships within the community to strengthen and expand the customer base for sales opportunities.
  • Closely following up on all business leads within a 24-hour response timeline to clients.

Requirements

  • HND / B.Sc in any related field.

3). Waiter/Waitress

Location: Yaba, Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language using appropriate etiquette.
  • Taking beverage orders and serving them to guests on a timely manner.
  • Always respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
  • Mix and garnish beverages according to recipe and portion control standards.
  • Should be fully aware of the bar and lounge menu along with their prices.
  • Good knowledge of wine selection, wine service and Beer service.
  • Take guest beverage or food orders and input them to the point-of-sale system.
  • Ensuring that the bar and lounge stations are fully stocked, clean and tidy at all times.
  • Establish rapport with guests to build loyal and satisfied customers.
  • Ensure knowledge of menu and restaurant promotions and any special offers.
  • Replenish beverages and ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service.
  • Able to up-sell all promotion available in the outlet.
  • Ensure serving station is well-stocked at all times.
  • Accurately total, process and collect payments from guests to include, but not limited to, using the point-of-sale system.
  • Should know basic cashiering procedures like handling money, processing credit and debit cards, making change.
  • Be responsible for billing / payment and collecting feedback from the guest.
  • Clear tables and prepare for service by polishing cutlery, glassware and crockery etc.
  • Complete closing duties, including storing all reusable goods, breaking down goods, cleaning all equipment and areas.
  • Return all equipment to proper locations, locking refrigerators, restocking items, turning off lights, locking doors and completing bar closing checklist.
  • Stock and maintain the bar with all the required supplies and inventory (eg: beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice cubes etc.)
  • Always take responsibility for ensuring a positive guest experience.
  • Take ownership of guest request and follow up guests incidences.
  • Assist in carrying out scheduled inventories of products and operating equipment.
  • Perform any other assigned reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned or as requested by Supervisors or Manager.

Job Requirements
Education:

  • Hotel Management Diploma holder, OND or similar qualification.
  • Knowledge of computers, Wines, POS – Point of sales system.

Experience:

  • 1 to 2 years’ experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a full-service hotel preferred

Other Requirements:

  • Have sound knowledge of spirits, beers, wine, cocktails and coffee.
  • Should have excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work longer hours as per business demand.
  • Be courteous, professional and provide efficient service.

5). Housekeeping Officer

Location: Yaba, Lagos

Job Description

  • Answer immediately to requests from guests.
  • Replace used amenities in guest rooms.
  • Provide clean linens and terry for dirty ones.
  • Fold terry, make beds, and ensure bathrooms are clean.
  • Take away, room service items, dirty linen, and trash.
  • Perform checks on all room appliances to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Adjust furniture, desk items, and appliances when necessary.
  • Dust furnishings and walls and remove marks from them.
  • Carry out floor care duties in hallway and guest rooms, and vacuum carpets.
  • Adhere to all safety, security, and company procedures and policies.
  • Provide immediate reports of any safety hazards, injuries, maintenance problems, or accidents to the supervisor.
  • Apply professional language in communicating with guests and other people.
  • Provide support to the team to achieve common goals.
  • Maintain quality standards and expectations.

Requirements

  • A Degree or HND holder in any field.
  • 2 – 3 years of experience.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Certified or experienced housekeeping executive or similar role.
  • Good understanding and hands-on experience of maintenance tasks; housekeeping cleaning and washing equipment, tools and cleaning chemicals.
