1). Director of Digital Strategy (Sales)

Location: Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

The Role

  • This position will be based in our Lagos office, reporting to the Managing Director. KPIs to be met on a regular basis will be communicated.

Key Responsibilities
Direct Business Development Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a business development strategic plan.
  • Achieve a monthly sales gross profit target.
  • Analyzing prospective clients’ digital footprint to develop digital & content strategies for their businesses.
  • Conduct pitches and presentations to persuade potential customers that Pulse is the preferred partner to meet their corporate goals.
  • Drive relationships with decision-makers at tier-1 companies across Nigeria.
  • Work with the Account Management team to ensure services sold are delivered to clients to maximize client retention.Team Lead Responsibilities :
  • Represent Pulse at events and network and build relationships with potential clients and partners.
  • Perform weekly checks of the team’s inputs into the CRM to ensure full visibility into the sales pipeline.
  • Review proposals developed by members of the team.
  • Develop Pulse content campaigns & product offerings to grow revenues.
  • Manage team learning sessions and enable knowledge sharing on an ongoing basis with the Sales teams internationally.
  • Manage the onboarding and training of new team members.
  • Lend support and direction to help team members realize their full potential.
  • Ensure that the defined sales process is followed at all times.
  • Communicate effectively to all team members and maintain strong, trusting relationships with all internal collaborators.
  • Stay up to date of the latest trends, industry issues and solutions, to help ensure that Pulse is always innovating with great client solutions.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience in sales or business development in a senior-level management role – Saas/Digital/ IT/Creative/ Media/ Marketing/ Advertising industries preferred.
  • A creative thinker who can connect 360° digital to all aspects of a client’s business and drive growth opportunities.

2). Senior Social Media Manager

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Create content for your assigned channels (including news articles, listicles, memes and other content) while ensuring:
  • Proper management of Pulse Nigeria’s social media pages; create, curate, and distribute content relevant to the target audience across all assigned social media channels; ensuring proper content distribution, proper use of channels’ features, and community management following standard execution guidelines.
  • Community management – daily spam check across the channels; approving comments when necessary and quick response/monitoring of direct messages following guidelines
  • Trend monitoring across channels using social media tools such as Hootsuite, CrowdTangle, etc. and ensure time-to-market for the content distribution is efficient
  • Complete reports – social media weekly, general monthly online marketing report and traffic analysis report when necessary.
  • Develop high-quality video content for Pulse Nigeria’s social media platforms (Interviews, vox pops, strivias, etc.)
  • Create posts for special campaigns (clients) when necessary on all social media channels and compile reports for analysis.
  • Proper implementation of Pulse Content Framework – to be used as a guide for all posts and updated when necessary.
  • Ensure all social media posts are correctly UTM tagged for tracking.
  • Become an advocate for the Company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answer questions where appropriate.
  • Demonstrate ability to map out marketing strategies and then drive that strategy proven by testing and metrics.
  • Identify threats and opportunities in user generated content surrounding the business – Report notable threats to appropriate management.
  • Analyze campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising the social media campaigns.
  • Monitor effective benchmarks (best practices) for measuring the impact of social media campaigns. Analyze, review and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.
  • Keep up to date, research and suggest new social media account management tools.
  • Event coverage for Pulse Nigeria & Pulse clients based on communicated briefs; cover events highlights and distribute content across relevant channels & provide performance reports.
  • Collaborate with other teams: Editorial, Video, and Sales teams to achieve company wide goals.
  • Support the Head of Social Media and Head of Marketing to actively propose and help implement new and innovative strategies in order to meet and exceed the company’s overall revenue and profit targets.
  • Overall management and administration of your assigned channels, including managing follower growth, commercialisation, follower engagement, and general look/feel of the channel.

Skills

  • Social Media Strategy: Ability to develop and execute social media strategies that align with business objectives and target audience needs.
  • Proficiency in creating engaging and relevant content for social media platforms, including text, images, videos, and graphics.
  • Experience in managing social media accounts, monitoring comments, responding to inquiries, and engaging with followers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ability to track and analyze social media metrics, interpret insights, and provide actionable recommendations to optimize performance and achieve KPIs.
  • Familiarity with various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Strong creative thinking skills, with the ability to generate innovative ideas and concepts for social media content and campaigns.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey messages clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in social media algorithms, trends, and best practices, and pivot strategies accordingly to stay relevant and effective.
  • Collaboration skills to work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and customer service, to ensure alignment and consistency in brand messaging and initiatives.

3). Brand Partnerships Manager
