Job Purpose

  • The role’s purpose is to execute the sales strategy effectively, leading to the achievement of agreed business objectives within the assigned outlets.

  • Oversight of agency staff at golden outlets.
  • Ability to influence, inspire, and enhance performance without direct management responsibility for distributor staff.

Context / Scope

This role plays a vital role in realizing PZ Cussons’ commercial strategic plan, showcasing industry leadership in both volume-driving and brand-building activities.

Key Accountabilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Management of the top-weighted Golden outlets in the territory, involving sell-in and product delivery.
  • Recruitment of new outlets.
  • Ensuring availability of MSL (Merchandising Stock Levels) in the outlets.
  • Effective management of promotions in the assigned outlets.
  • Conducting Joint Business Reviews with the outlets.
  • Gathering market intelligence and monitoring competitor activity, with timely reporting.

Performance is measured by:

  • Target vs. Actual monthly/yearly performance (sell-in) KPIs.
  • Achievement of agreed coverage plans.

2). Technical Manager

Job Purpose:

  • The purpose of this role is to oversee and manage all technical aspects of the factory.

Principal Accountabilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Assessing and continuously improving material yields and manufacturing standards.
  • Developing a program to enhance the technical capabilities of the production team.
  • Leading the implementation of innovation (product and packaging) on the site, exploring alternative design options for processing and manufacturing.
  • Owning the margin improvement plan for the factory and collaborating with new product development teams.
  • Supervising the development and maintenance of a ‘fit for purpose’ Quality Regime in the factory, aiming to provide high-quality products to the market while minimizing costs to the business, eventually leading to ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000 accreditations.

3). Treasury Manager

Location: Nigeria

Job Purpose:

  • The purpose of this role is to assist in managing the treasury function for PZ Wilmar Business. This includes collaborating with the PZ/Wilmar Treasury & legal function, Supply chain Team, Banks, and other stakeholders on Treasury-related activities and documentation.

Reporting Relationships:

  • Finance Director

Principal Accountabilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in managing Banking relationships for PZ Wilmar.
  • Ensuring that Bank Facility renewal processes are completed on time and that all necessary documents are provided with agreed terms, following clearance from Wilmar & PZ.
  • Assisting in obtaining Form M applications & approvals in accordance with Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) or any other authority’s guidance.
  • Facilitating the opening of LCs (Letter of Credit) in line with the Limit balance.
  • Monitoring Import documentation (e.g., ED) to ensure compliance with various processes, guidelines, regulations, etc.
  • Managing all front treasury operational activities, ensuring compliance with relevant policies.
  • Verifying various bank charges/interest rates in accordance with the rates agreed with the bank.
  • Taking action to control/reduce these costs.
  • Exercising control over various Form M/LC (Letter of Credit) issuances and regularly reviewing them.
  • Reconciling Bid accounts, Forward coverage, etc., and presenting these to the Finance Controller/Finance Director as needed.
  • Sharing various treasury reports as and when needed.

Checks & Controls

5). Category Marketing Manager

Location: Nigeria

Summary:

In this role, your key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing brand strategy to grow and sustain brand performance and profitability.
  • Monitoring, controlling, and reporting brand performance through brand health indicators (NNS, GM, MC) and key consumer KPIs (market share, awareness, trial, attribute rating, etc.) and providing solutions to gaps.
  • Supporting the management of the New Product Development (NPD) process for the brand within the TEC BU (Business Unit).

6). Demand Manager

Location: Nigeria

Summary:

In this role, your key responsibilities include:

  • Creating and maintaining the appropriate master data in APO for Demand planning.
  • Following up with Customer services and Deployment Planner to maintain system hygiene and health to ensure that demand signals are not polluted.
  • Using historical sales trends to generate baseline statistical forecasts.
  • Being responsible for sales forecasting by working closely with other sales & marketing people in the demand planning phase of each month’s Business planning cycle.
  • Establishing and maintaining forecast analysis and reports for business decision-making.
  • Working with other colleagues in Commercial and Supply to achieve the business forecast accuracy Target for stable and unstable SKUs.

Summary:

  • In this role, you will be responsible for achieving agreed business objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the assigned territory, including sell-in, sell-out, focus category, new product development (NPD) listings, and promotions. You will work closely with Zonal Managers, Key Accounts Managers, and Regional Commercial Managers to ensure the success of trade and marketing activities in your territory.

Job Purpose:

  • In this role, you will be responsible for managing plant efficiency and downtimes, equipment health (corrective and preventive maintenance), and utilities optimization. You will coordinate material, personnel, and machinery within the shift and other functional departments to ensure production and quality plans are met.
