Your Mission

  • We seek a talented Direct Sales Account Executive to join our Lagos office’s Process Automation (PA) business unit.
  • In this position, you will be responsible for the sale of the complete Schneider Electric Process Automation portfolio (DCS, Safety Systems, PLC, SCADA, Cyber Security) in Nigeria and West Africa. This includes products, services and solutions for different sectors: Oil and gas, Power, Mining, Water and Waste Water and Food and beverage.
  • You will be the first point of contact for existing and new customers. You will maintain an excellent relationship with your customers, which will allow you to understand their specific requests, business processes and needs.
  • You work with various sales channels like the end customers, EPCs, system integrators and consultancy firms.

Your Role
Magic happens when you bring great people together:

  • Developing, maintaining and expanding lasting professional customer relations using regular customer visits and participation in customer events.
  • Proactively taking on key positions to obtain budgeted orders from these customers.
  • Negotiating price and conditions with the customer.
  • Having current knowledge of the market readily available by developing and maintaining market and product developments up to date, gaining insight into customer structures and organisations, and identifying and following up on opportunities with customers.
  • Analysing customer needs and elaborating offers independently and cooperating with the solutions/sales support team.
  • Coordinating the preparation of quotes in cooperation with the proposal group.
  • Coordinating technical support for customers.

Qualifications

  • You have completed a relevant technical Master’s Degree (Electronics or Industrial Automation).
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in industrial automation, preferably in the Oil & Gas and/or Power sectors.
  • You have proven experience in the sale of technical solutions and concepts.
  • You combine commercial insight with a result-oriented attitude while applying the required interpersonal skills.
  • A good command of both oral and written English.
  • A driver’s license is required.

2). Product Application Engineer, Power Product

Your Mission

  • Assist the sales force by providing high-level product expertise and knowledge of the targeted product-centric application to customers.
  • Develop and manage the product offering of Power Product (Products and solutions) in addition to providing the first line of Technical support to internal & external stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all aspects of business development, marketing mix, product, price, promotion & place.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for the various power product offers providing operational support for the different stakeholders, internally & externally
  • Define the go-to-market strategies by studying the various segments, understanding customer needs, analyzing competition and effective price positioning
  • Responsible for the profitability of the offer, price realization, mix management, marketing communications and promotional campaigns
  • Ensure the successful conversion of a bid to order by working closely with the sales, global & cluster marketing teams, supply chain  project tendering &execution teams
  • Work closely with the consultant prescription teams to ensure Schneider is an approved /preferred supplier
  • Provide technical & product offering seminars and trainings to internal &external stakeholders such as partners, consultants, contractors & end users
  • Collaborate strongly with the Marcomm team to bring high visibility of the power product offers in the Market.

Qualifications – External

  • Education: Bachelor’s in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience
  • in sales/Business development or marketing functions.
  • Knowledge: Basic Understanding of Sales.
  • Customer Satisfaction and Service Delivery.
  • Price management knowledge

Ethics and Compliance:

  • Skills: Excellent Presentation Skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and various Digital Tools would be an added advantage
