Job Description
- The Vice Principal of Administration will oversee the day-to-day operations of Doveland High School.
- The role involves managing both staff and student affairs, ensuring a smooth and effective educational environment.
- The Vice Principal will work closely with the Principal and other administrative personnel to uphold the school’s academic standards, student discipline, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Staff Management:
- Supervise and support high school staff, including teachers, administrative, and support staff.
- Ensure staff professional development and continuous improvement through training and performance evaluations.
- Manage staffing schedules and ensure effective use of resources.
Student Management:
- Oversee student discipline, attendance, and general wellbeing.
- Ensure the implementation of policies and procedures relating to student behavior.
- Coordinate student activities, events, and extracurricular programs to enhance their overall development.
Administrative Oversight:
- Oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the high school, ensuring operational efficiency.
- Implement and monitor policies that enhance the academic and operational performance of the school.
- Manage the coordination of exams, timetables, and class schedules.
- Prepare and review administrative reports, budgets, and student performance data.
Organizational Development:
- Contribute to the strategic development of Doveland High School, including long-term planning and goal setting.
- Support the Principal in fostering a positive school culture and maintaining a safe learning environment.
- Collaborate with other departments and campuses to ensure alignment with overall institutional objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Administration, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in educational administration or a leadership role within a school.
- Proven experience in managing staff and students effectively.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing environments.
