About the Role
- We’re building a high-quality YouTube movie recap channel and are looking for a talented and reliable video editor who can take timestamped scenes, generate AI voiceovers from provided scripts, and create polished, engaging 15-20 minute recap videos.
- The ideal candidate is passionate about creating high-quality video content, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is committed to meeting deadlines without compromising on quality.
- You’ll work closely with our scriptwriters and channel manager to turn raw materials into high-retention YouTube content.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit full 15-20 minute movie recap videos based on scripts and timestamps
- Use AI voice generation tools (e.g., ElevenLabs, Descript, or similar) to create engaging voiceovers from scripts
- Match the voiceover narration with movie clips based on timestamps
- Add captions, background music, sound effects, and transitions to enhance viewer retention.
Requirements
- Interested candidates should possess an OND qualification
- At least 1 year of experience editing videos for YouTube (movie recap/summary channel experience is a big plus)
- Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and emotional beats in editing
- Ability to work independently and meet weekly deadlines (5 videos per week)
- Familiar with YouTube copyright/fair use editing standards
- Experience with AI voiceover generation tools
- Good communication and willingness to accept feedback.
Tools You Should Know (or Be Willing to Learn):
- AI Voice Generators: ElevenLabs, Descript, TTS tools
- Video Editing Software: Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or DaVinci Resolve
- Stock footage/sound/music sources (where needed)
- YouTube best practices for pacing, retention, and fair use compliance.
Pay
- N150,000 – N200,000 per month, depending on skill and speed
- Bonus available for viral-performing videos.
- Long-term opportunity for consistent work and growth as the channel scales.
