The Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Yola, Adamawa State, Nigeria, was founded by an agreement made on August 21, 1998, between the Federal Ministry of Health, Nigeria, and the Adamawa State Government to take over the then-Yola Specialist Hospital, Yola, Adamawa State, Nigeria. Clinical Services began on May 15, 1999. However, the State's Civilian Government chose to repossess the Specialist Hospital in order to establish a secondary healthcare facility in the state capital. As a result, it was agreed that the Centre would be transferred to its current location on the campus of the Yola School of Nursing and Midwifery, along Lamido Zubairu Way in Yola-Town. | Adamawa
