Jesuit Memorial College (JMC) is a Catholic boarding secondary school located in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, welcoming both boys and girls, regardless of their religious background. For more complex problems that require nuanced instruction, you will contact clients via phone and/or provide clear, written instructions and technical manuals. Qualifications \tB.Sc. in Information Technology, Computer Science or Degree in relevant field like Computer Science, IT or Software Engineering. Microsoft, Cisco, Linux or similar certification is a plus. \tYou are naturally a helper, enjoy assisting people with computer issues and are able to explain technical details. Requirements: \tEffective communication and presentation skills, good command of English Language, good understanding of adolescent psychology, good interpersonal skills, a team player, \tProven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help. Desk Technician or similar role. \tHands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments. \tGood understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products like CCTV cameras, projectors, smart boards, Cisco and UniFi switches. \tAbility to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues. \tFamiliarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software (eg. Zendesk). \tExcellent problem-solving and communication skills. \tAbility to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal. \tAdditional certification in Microsoft, Linux, Cisco or similar technologies is a plus. \tHands on experiences with network server and network tools.
