Job Title: Account Officer

Location: Lagos

Key Objectives of the Role:

  • Support day-to-day accounting functions, including AP/AR, bank reconciliations, inventory, and journal postings.
  • Ensure proper documentation and accuracy in transaction records in line with financial regulations.
  • Assist with monthly and annual financial closing and reporting processes.
  • Contribute to budgeting, cash flow tracking, and internal controls to support the business’s financial health.
  • Provide relevant accounting support to field operations, retail outlets, and logistics teams.

Key Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably in oil & gas, energy, or logistics-related sectors.
  • Strong grasp of financial reporting, bank reconciliation, inventory management, and tax documentation.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or ERP systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and analytical thinking.
  • Strong ethics, confidentiality, and commitment to organizational goals.
  • Chartered Accountant certification (ICAN, ANAN, ACCA) is an added advantage.
