Job Title: Accountant

Location: Apapa, Lagos

Responsibilities

• Accounting and overseeing day-to-day operations of the company’s bank accounts.
• Reconcile bank payment vouchers with internal accounting of Bank payments regularly.
• Ensure that all deposits, withdrawals, and transfers are accurately recorded.
• Handling Petty Cash and parking entries for petty Cash payments Vouchers

Financial Transactions:

• Making payment vouchers to suppliers, contractors, and other third parties.
• Manage receipts and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
• Coordinate with banks to resolve any discrepancies or issues.

General Accounting Support:

• Assist in preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Maintain accurate records of company expenditures, receipts, and income.
• Track and process invoices and receipts from customers and suppliers.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2–3 years of experience in accounting or banking, preferably within a corporate or financial institution.
• Experience in working with Nigerian banks and understanding of the local banking environment is essential.
• Knowledge of accounting software and tools (e.g., ERP Navision) is required.
