Job Title: Accountant
Location: Badagry, Lagos

Description
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will manage the financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, budget monitoring, and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Record keeping: Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, accounts, and balance sheets.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial statements and reports (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement) in a timely manner.
- Budget Management: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets to ensure financial goals are met and resources are allocated efficiently.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including preparation and submission of tax returns.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and general ledger reconciliations, investigating discrepancies and ensuring accurate entries.
- Payroll Processing: Oversee and process the payroll system, ensuring correct deductions, reimbursements, and employee benefits.
- Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring all records and processes are transparent and accurate.
- Cost Management: Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures and process improvements.
- Financial Analysis: Provide financial insights to management and assist with decision-making based on financial data analysis.
Qualifications
- Minimum of OND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Additional certifications (e.g., ICAN) is an advantage.
- Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
