Position Overview
- As an Accountant at Goonite (NG) Hygiene Product FZE you will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting the financial health of our organization.
- You will work closely with the finance team to streamline accounting processes and contribute to strategic financial planning.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for all transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes by providing financial data and insights.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and variances.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and payroll.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial discrepancies and improve financial procedures.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in accounting regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience within the FMCG industry, preferably within the Manufacturing sector.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
Additional Requirements:
- Candidates must be residents of Ibeju-Lekki or its immediate surroundings.
