Job Summary
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our hospitality team in Lagos. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing accurate reports, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting the smooth financial operation of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, statements, and records in line with industry standards.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor daily cash flow.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Handle payroll processing and statutory deductions (e.g., PAYE, pension).
- Monitor and report on revenue and expenditure trends.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with external auditors.
- Maintain financial security by following internal controls.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
- Support inventory control and cost management initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in an accounting role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary
- N250,000 / month (net).
