Job Title: Business Development Executive

Location: Lagos

Description

  • Multigate is looking for a detailed and well oriented and driven Business Development Executive who will be in charge of increasing company revenue and expanding our client portfolio.
  • The individual should be persuasive and have strong business acumen as well as demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • You will be responsible for identifying, targeting, and engaging prospective clients. Direct sales accountability—ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced and target-driven environments.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Driving new business acquisition and Revenue growth with the Business Lead on some of the organisation’s key growth initiatives.
  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Solutions, and Customer Success, to ensure seamless onboarding and long-term client satisfaction.
  • Drive ambitious sales growth and meet or exceed quarterly targets.
  • Target and acquire new accounts through prospecting and networking.
  • Leverage existing relationships and networks to generate new business opportunities at scale
  • Be the main communicator of the organisation’s value proposition to clients
  • Developing and maintaining a robust pipeline of qualified leads through market research, networking, referrals, and outbound outreach.
  • Develop, manage and constantly improve on your personal lead generation through proactive networking via digital and face-to-face channels and events
  • Negotiating contract terms and closing deals in line with company targets and policies.
  • Maintaining accurate records of sales activity, pipeline progression, and client interactions using CRM tools
  • Present, promote and sell products and services through product demos to prospective and existing Partners
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis with existing/potential Partners in order to align our solutions to their needs and business objectives
  • Engaging and managing relationships with referral partners and distributor partners.
  • Establish and maintain positive Partner relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3 – 5 years of proven success in B2B sales, having worked at SaaS, financial, investment software companies or large data vendors.
  • Experience commercializing enterprise SaaS solutions and platforms.
  • Exceptional networking skills – able to penetrate target organisations to drive the right engagement to win business
  • A confident communicator with gravitas, able to sell consultatively and tailor converting solutions for prospects
  • Proficient in relevant software/applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, CRM, Sales Navigator, etc
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and experience developing strong working relationships both inside and outside of the organisation
  • Entrepreneurial, persistent, and resourceful, with experience learning quickly about new technologies
  • Must thrive in working with multidisciplinary teams, including but not limited to product, technology, legal, sales, and marketing.
  • Ability to negotiate and manage complex commercial agreements.
  • Comfortable engaging with major client decision-makers, as well as senior executives and leaders, either in one-on-one or small group presentations.
  • Excited to challenge and be challenged and work as a team to execute the best idea.
  • Understanding of financial markets and/or banking technology.
  • Experience analyzing data and deriving actionable business insights
  • Experience learning quickly about new technologies and distill information into actionable insights for internal stakeholders.
