Job Summary
- Our client is looking for a proactive and goal driven business development officer who will identify opportunities for business growth and create marketing strategies based on those opportunities in order to meet and exceed business goals.
- Basically, the business developer will bring help secure contracts for the firm.
Responsibilities
- Bidding and closing out contracts in the oil and gas sector.
- Identifying potential clients and relating the company’s products and services to them with the goal of closing out business deals.
- Leading the charge on market research plans to identify new opportunities
- Working with executives to implement marketing strategies and new opportunities
- Encouraging new and existing clients by creating and improving proposals
- Developing and pitching ideas for potential investors
- Develop new relationships in an effort to grow business and help company expand
- Maintain existing business
- Think critically when planning to assure project success
- Search of potential clients and new projects opportunities.
- Identify partnership opportunities and develop existing ones
- Formulate and implementing Annual Sales Plan.
- Visit regularly target clients in Oil & Gas field.
- Market Analysis including competition and major competitors’ analysis.
- Manage sales activities from conception to closing and create realistic sales pipeline based on type of opportunity.
- Demonstrate ability to coach team to meet annual sales targets.
- Formulate a clear vision to achieve market growth.
- Report all sales opportunities and forecasts.
Qualifications
- B.Sc in Engineering or any other discipline
- 5 years working experience as a business development officer in oil and gas firms .
- Knowledge of bid tendering and NAPIMS regulations is required.
- Proven track record of bidding and securing high -end oil and gas contracts
- Sales and Marketing skills
- Good connections with major contractors in the market.
- Good connections with Upstream oil and gas companies
- Good connections with suppliers to be able to consolidate offers to contractors
- Fluent English spoken & written
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies
- Proven record of achieved revenue and growth plan.
- Focused and goal-oriented.
Salary
- N350,000 Monthly plus Commission.
