Job Title: Cashier

Location: Lekki, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Position Objectives

• The position objective of a Cashier is to ensure that all items selected by customers are monetarily valued and payments are received.
• The job requires a high level of customer interaction hence, Cashiers should have good communication and customer service skills

Job Description

• Greeting customers with a warm smile.
• Scan each item selected by customers and receive payments via POS, Cash or ETF (Electronic Transfer)
• Double-check transactions before printing out receipts.
• Bag items carefully i.e., edibles in one bag and toiletries in another according to the quantity of items purchased.
• Ensure pricing is correct on all products before completing a transaction; where in doubt, call the Manager for clarification.
• Rendering premium customer service at all times.
• Attend to customers speedily and accurately.
• Build positive and productive working relationships with customers for business growth.
• Evacuate cash from the cash drawer and remit to the Accounts Officer for counting and balancing, as often as instructed by Management.
• Direct customer complaints, product discrepancies and refunds to the Manager
• Ensure customers do not forget their belongings on the till i.e. phone, keys, wallet, ATM card etc.
• Encourage customers to be in a queue while attending to them on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Other duties as may be assigned to you by Management.

Requirements, Experience and Attributes
Requirements:

• Should be female between the ages of 20 years to 35 years at the time of engagement.
• Should be able to work cordially with the sales team
• Should reside around the Lekki or Ajah axis
• Pass a comprehensive medical exam approving employee for work under this contract
• Pass a detailed vetting process approving employees for work under this contract
• Pass all company-conducted training courses required

Knowledge & Experience:

• Educational Qualification (OND /HND /BSc)
• Possess English language proficiency
• Proven work experience is an added advantage
• Must be computer Literate

• High level of emotional resilience and maturity
• Should be attentive to detail, polite and confident.
• Having a friendly and engaging personality.
• Must possess a high level of honesty, integrity, confidentiality and professionalism
• Must be physically fit and mentally alert
• Must maintain good personal hygiene and be properly dressed at all times.
• Must be punctual.

Salary

• N100,000 – N150,000 per month.
