Job Summary
- The CFO is responsible for overseeing the financial strategy, planning, and management of the company.
- This includes financial reporting, risk management, investment analysis and ensuring compliance with regulatory and tax requirements.
- The CFO will play a critical role in driving financial performance, optimizing capital structure, and supporting business growth through strategic financial initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s long-term objectives.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Financial Management & Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and other relevant accounting standards.
- Monitor key financial metrics, cash flow, and financial performance indicators.
Investment & Capital Management:
- Assess and manage financial risks related to real estate investments, acquisitions and developments.
- Develop strategies for capital raising, including debt and equity financing.
- Oversee financial modeling and feasibility studies for property acquisitions and development projects.
Risk Management & Compliance:
- Ensure the company complies with tax regulations, legal requirements and financial reporting standards.
- Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.
Operational & Team Leadership:
- Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement financial technology solutions to improve financial operations.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., legal, operations, sales) to support business decisions.
Key Requirements
Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
- Master’s degree (MBA or related field) is an added advantage.
- Professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, CFA, or CPA preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of financial management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in the real estate industry, with knowledge of property investment, financing and asset management.
- Strong understanding of real estate financial modeling, valuationand cash flow analysis.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong strategic thinking and financial planning abilities.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in financial reporting, forecasting, and risk management.
- Knowledge of real estate finance, REITs, and investment analysis.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
