Job Summary

  • The CFO is responsible for overseeing the financial strategy, planning, and management of the company.
  • This includes financial reporting, risk management, investment analysis and ensuring compliance with regulatory and tax requirements.
  • The CFO will play a critical role in driving financial performance, optimizing capital structure, and supporting business growth through strategic financial initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s long-term objectives.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

Financial Management & Reporting:

  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Monitor key financial metrics, cash flow, and financial performance indicators.

Investment & Capital Management:

  • Assess and manage financial risks related to real estate investments, acquisitions and developments.
  • Develop strategies for capital raising, including debt and equity financing.
  • Oversee financial modeling and feasibility studies for property acquisitions and development projects.

Risk Management & Compliance:

  • Ensure the company complies with tax regulations, legal requirements and financial reporting standards.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.

Operational & Team Leadership:

  • Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement financial technology solutions to improve financial operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., legal, operations, sales) to support business decisions.

Key Requirements
Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
  • Master’s degree (MBA or related field) is an added advantage.
  • Professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, CFA, or CPA preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of financial management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in the real estate industry, with knowledge of property investment, financing and asset management.
  • Strong understanding of real estate financial modeling, valuationand cash flow analysis.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong strategic thinking and financial planning abilities.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting, forecasting, and risk management.
  • Knowledge of real estate finance, REITs, and investment analysis.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
