Chief Security Officer at the Rivers State University (RSU)

The Rivers State University (RSU) Port Harcourt was established in October, 1980 from the Rivers State College of Science and Technology which was itself established in 1972. It is located at Nkpolu-Oroworukwo in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State, Nigeria.

Rivers State University is the first Technological University in Nigeria and the first state-owned State University in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. The motto of the University is “Excellence and Creativity”. The University has a staff strength of about 1,800 and a student population of over 28,000. The language of instruction in the institution is English.

Qualifications
Candidates for the positions listed must satisfy the following criteria

• Candidates must have been a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP)/Superintendent of Police(SP) or its equivalent rank in the Armed Forces with at least a minimum of fifteen (15) years experience with a good University Degree in Criminology or Security Studies or Sociology or Law plus Diploma in Safety and Security Management.
• A University Master’s Degree in Criminology or Security Studies or Sociology or Law with at least a minimum of twelve (12) years experience plus Diploma in Safety and Security Management.
• Applicants should not be more than sixty (60) years old at the time of appointment.
